Bodegas Volver was founded in 2004 by Rafael Canizares, a fourth generation vine grower who wished to rediscover, celebrate and preserve heritage varieties of Spanish wines and recover old indigenous vineyards.
This wine is characterised by a mild summer and heavy Spring rains, resulting in a longer ripening that produced grapes of outstanding quality. Located in Pinoso, at an altitude of 600-750m above sea level, they are harvested in August and fermented in French oak barrels followed by aging with batonage for 6 months.
Brilliant and vibrant, this wine has notes of ripe fruits such as mango, pineapple and peach, with subtle tones of honey, vanilla and spices from fermentation as it passes through the barrel. Balanced with good acidity, golden colour, and an intense finish. This wine is perfect with fish, octopus, oysters, shellfish and rice.
