Sierra de Toloño wines come from Tempranillo vines grown on calcareous clay are at 650m in Labastida - one of the highest vineyards of the Rioja region. The mountains of the Sierra de Toloño protect the vines from northerly winds and create a special microclimate, cold because it is so high, but dry with the Mediterranean influence. These conditions are perfect for the grapes to ripen fully over a long period of time. The ripeness comes slowly, retaining natural acidity.
The Sierra de Toloño Rioja is intense in colour with purple hues. Aromas of violet and Mediterranean herbs complement the delicate chocolate and toasted notes from the barrel. An elegant mouth, with fresh notes and sweet tannins. A perfectly balanced wine with a natural acidity.
