Les Alcusses has always been Monastrell and some foreign grapes raised in French oak and explains our history and our territory assimilating and willingly accepting contributions from winemaking at the end of the 20th century, such as oak barrels or foreign wine varieties that we then called " better before". The challenge in recent years is to bring more freshness and elegance to a wine that remains rich, ripe, fruity, complex and forceful.
