Located in northern Spain in Baños de Ebro, Bodegas Altún's vines have an average age of 40 years, though some are nearly a century old. The family-run winery sticks to traditional methods, including handpicking and sorting all their grapes to ensure consistent quality.
Made using only the best Tempranillo grapes from the estate's oldest vines, the Altún Reserva is aged 70% in French oak and 30% in American oak for 18 months prior to bottling. It is a beautifully ripe and fruity wine with soft, subtle oak, tobacco and peppery aromas. A full bodied, elegant and well structured wine with complex and well-integrated flavours with a long finish.
