Things to do around aberystwyth
Situated on the coast of West Wales, first impressions do not do it justice, stay a bit longer and you will find that Aberystwyth is a town full of surprises. Home of our first shop, it also houses the National Library of Wales, a university with the oldest department for International Politics, a world class arts centre, a thriving and long standing organics movement and a funicular train. Natural beauty surrounds the area and is a prime reason to visit, whether it's for a casual stroll along the prom to watch the incredible sight of the starlings rising up in the evenings, a trip out to feed the kites or a full on hike up and down Cader Idris there is plenty to keep you busy in the outdoors. Much of what is best in this area is free (beaches, walks, picnics at the Castle, galleries) but there are also plenty of great places worth investigating, here are some of our favourites:
Y Cnwch Gwenyn (worth a visit just for the ice cream)
